Aimar Arriola is a basque curator, editor and researcher. He graduated from the PEI – Independent Studies Program at the MACBA, Barcelona. He holds a PhD from the Department of Visual Cultures at Goldsmiths, London. Since 2010 he has organized exhibitions and public programs, his own and commissioned, at MACBA, Barcelona; The Showroom, London; X Central American Biennial, Costa Rica; Bilbao Fine Arts Museum; Tabakalera, San Sebastian; CA2M, Madrid; among others. He is currently Associate Researcher (2020-2023) at AZ Alhóndiga Bilbao.
During his residency, he organized a talk and screening in reference to the exhibition The Awakening, by Antoni Hervàs.
